You did what

"That's a lot of meat," the alien commented as he met up with the woman outside the alley, wrinkling his nose slightly at the nauseating smell coming from the large paper bag in her arms. Pulling his dirty, worn hat down over his eyes, he started walking down the street with her, trying not to draw too much attention to himself.

The woman just grinned at that, going with him as she glanced back, making sure they weren't being followed. "Yeah! Once we get out of here, we're having a feast," she said as she met the strange pointy-faced man's eyes, the grin never leaving her face. "Oh, I hope you filled up the truck. We have to leave tonight."

The alien suddenly froze, his face paling slightly as he stopped in mid walk, gritting his teeth. "Riiiight. About that..." He immediately looked away, avoiding the blue-haired woman's glance as he fidgeted with one of his long, floppy ears.
"See, last night I ran out of money and I had this amazing hand, it was impossible to lose, but I needed to bet something and- "

"You did what?!"

The woman dropped the paper bag, grabbing the man's cloak and pulled him down to her level, giving the now terrified looking alien the worst death glare he had ever seen.
