No Deal

"One hundred tokens for rancid old khraal meat?!"
The woman's hand slammed down on the table, making the entire stand shake slightly, as the meat hanging on hooks above the small table swayed back and forth, filling the air with a stench strong enough to make your average person gag.

With a glare she sunk her fingers into a big slab of of foul-smelling flesh in her hand, covering her hands in dark blue blood that slowly dripped down on the table, getting soaked up by the dirty piece of cloth that had been placed there for that exact reason.

The butcher didn't appear be intimidated by this, bringing up red scaly hand to his face running the claws over his chin, scratching it slightly. "Is not rancid. Good meat. Very fresh," he grumbled in a deep, heavily accented voice. Obviously Common was not his first language.

"Like hell this is fresh! Look! There are maggots in it!"
She angrily threw the chunk of meat back down on the table again, wiping her hand off on her coat, still keeping constant eye contact with the less than impressed creature in front of her.

Unable to get the reaction she wanted, the woman suddenly sighed in frustration, running her clean hand back over her head, pushing one of her dark blue dreads back behind her ears.
"... Fine. I'll give you 40 for it."

So! A couple of days ago I had this dream. It was about a group of travelers in an old, polluted city in a ruined world with both aliens and humans, and how they traveled everywhere going on various adventures and tried to survive.

I immediately realized that would make a pretty awesome roleplay, and told *Ogrefairy about it, and she agreed. So we've been planning it since then and making characters for it, and this is part of the intro post I decided to illustrate.
